IEBCA Seminar:
"Qualitative Considerations in Lighting Design"

(Please use the RSVP on the top of this page to register for the event.)

Description:

Please join the Iranian Engineers of BC Association (IEBCA) in an informative in-person presentation by Sasan Salamatian from Proxima Lighting Solutions. The presentation is in English, and registration is required for attending the event.

The presentation begins with an introduction to the concept of WELL-oriented design, emphasizing the importance of lighting in creating healthy environments. Next, it will explain how lighting can contribute to WELL Building Standards, which focus on enhancing human health and well-being. Then, the qualitative considerations in lighting design will be explained with a discussion of various factors such as intensity, color temperature, circadian light design, light trespass, and responsive light control, and how these can dramatically alter the perception of a space. Finally, the presentation elaborates on how different lighting designs can influence the aesthetics of a space. Real-world examples will be used to illustrate how strategic lighting can enhance architectural features, create mood, and even influence behavior. At the end, a Q&A session will provide an opportunity for the audience to receive answers to their questions from the presenter.
